Find Your Perfect Bathroom 2022

What comes to mind when you think of a perfect bathroom? Are you ready to make that vision a reality?

Understanding how long a bathroom remodel takes is crucial for planning and setting realistic expectations for your project. Among home renovations, bathrooms rank high on the list. Just behind kitchens, bathrooms come in at number 2 for renovations. A bathroom remodel can make or break a sale if you're planning on selling your home.

But what does your perfect bathroom look like? Here are five tips and trends you should consider if you're thinking about a bathroom home remodel.

What comes to mind when you think of a perfect bathroom? Are you ready to make that vision a reality?

1. Mood or Theme

One of the first things you want to do is determine the mood or theme of your bathroom. Bathroom hues that are trendy right now are warm tones, green, and even black. Deciding the type of mood you want your bathroom to take on will help you when it comes time for paint and furnishings.

Having a statement wall, like wallpaper, can help keep the theme cohesive and collective. Wallpaper with greenery is a fantastic option to use as a feature wall.

2. Space

On average, people spend 22 minutes in the bathroom per day. Because of this, you'll want to make sure you're using your space wisely.

If you're doing an entire gut and remodel, plan out your space and where each piece will go, such as the vanity, tub, shower, and water closet. Knowing how you're going to use the space makes it easier to envision.

3. Spa-Like Luxury

It can be costly to visit the spa, but when you have the spa-like luxury in your home, you don't have to make those expensive trips. Step into your spa bathroom and reap all the pampering and luxury.

Some spa elements you might want to add are spa showers or jet tubs. Your decor should be more neutral with bamboo or white tones. Stone is another great choice if you're going for a spa look.

4. Smart Technology

Did you know that you can use smart technology in the bathroom? Update your bathroom to smart technology to use in your perfect bathroom. In some cases, this can lower your utility bills and save electricity.

You can add different types of smart technology such as LED mirrors, smart showers to adjust temperature and save water, heating floor systems, smart faucets to reduce water usage, or a water monitor. Not everyone will need these smart technologies, so explore which ones might be beneficial for your family and your wallet.

5. Try Minimalism

If you're not into having a spa-like bathroom, you can try a minimalist bathroom. Minimalism is only having what you need. If you have a small space for your bathroom, you can only include items that are necessary for that space.

Consider keeping decor to a minimum and only towels and soap available on the counters. Anything extra that needs to be stored in your bathroom is put away. A minimalist look will keep your space bright, airy, and organised.

Your Perfect Bathroom Awaits

The perfect bathroom is the one you love and design. When the bathroom meets your needs, you're more likely to love the space and get more use from it.
